Flashback August 6th 2011:
During the intermission at the Philly Mad Decent Block Party, amidst walking around, eating food and water gun fights, I spotted something that got me instantly hype. 'Yo Kino Twon, Diplo is near the barricade talking to fans!' As we ran over to get a chance to meet him, Diplo was fending off a pack of thirsty groupies. 'I can't, I am too sober right now.' was the line he used to get them away from him. (I will use that in the future) We then approached him and the video below happened
This was the highlight of our road trip. Diplo's music has a large influence on many of us at WCCR: City College Radio and it was great to briefly meet him!
Last year we did the first ever moving plank, next year who knows what we'll do?! Until the next time Diplo!
